ABOUT

In Kleist’s tragedy about ,,love and war”, man turns into an animal.

The Amazons were deprived of their men, raped and humiliated. Incessant strife blunted and brutalised the Greeks. In a world where waging war has become a daily survival strategy, a conflict extending over generations; man and woman are locked in a battle of the sexes. Even love is unable to heal the traumas of the past. To Kleist, the only way out is death.
